Behavior Intervention Specialist or Paraprofessional

Wendell School District is seeking to hire a Behavior Intervention Specialist or Paraprofessional for the 2022-23 school year.  

Preferred Qualifications but not necessary qualifications: An individual who holds an Idaho Standard Instructional Certificate who meets the qualifications for an endorsement specific to special education; or An individual who holds their Habilitative Intervention Certificate of Completion (HI COC) in Idaho with an expiration date of July 1, 2019 or later, and does not have a gap of more than three (3) years of employment as an Intervention Specialist; or An individual who holds a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a human services field or has a bachelor's degree and a minimum of twenty-four (24) semester credits in a human services field, can demonstrate one thousand forty (1,040) hours of supervised experience working with children.  

Minimum Qualification: Requires a minimum of 32 core college credits; or an associate’s degree, or have a high school diploma or GED and pass the ParaPro Praxis exam. Desire to assist students who may be struggling academically and behaviorally.
