Superintendent's Message

Superintendent's Message

A call out to Trojan supporters!

Today is a challenging and trying time for Idaho public school systems due to decreases in school funding, the implementation of Idaho Core, and the uncertainty surrounding state assessments.   When it comes to educating our children, we have a tremendous task in front of us and it will take a team effort to be successful.

Idaho’s students are being challenged to be innovators, problem solvers, and utilize critical thinking skills. Application and a deeper knowledge of subject material are essential for success of the twenty-first century learner.   In our classrooms, it’s more about learning than it is about teaching.

Parents play an important role in the development of a child, but lets not forget the value of a great teacher. A teacher can make all the difference in the world. People are our most valuable commodity; they are the ones we must invest in. We must continue to recruit the best and brightest support staff; and we must do whatever we can to keep them employed in our district. Success is dependent upon the whole team

As expectations for students increase, the message to our children must be that we will not let them fail. We will not give up on them. It takes a village. Together we can do this because…

We are the Hub City of the Magic Valley and We are Wendell!
